Elvish Yadav booked for using 'Snake Venom

In the latest update on the Elvish Yadav snake venom-rave party case, Uttar Pradesh Police announced on Friday that samples taken from the party revealed the presence of cobra and krait venom.

According to an NDTV report, a forensic examination conducted by the police detected venom from two snake species – cobra and krait – in the samples collected from Elvish Yadav’s event.

Yadav, a prominent YouTuber and the winner of Bigg Boss OTT 2, was present at the rave party held in Noida in November 2023. The police raided the party suspecting the use of snake venom for intoxication, leading Yadav into a legal entanglement. He is not only accused of attending the party but also allegedly involved in the procurement and distribution of snake venom.

During interrogation, Yadav implicated Bollywood singer Fazilpuria, alleging that the snakes featured in one of his videos were arranged by the singer.

Following a sting operation conducted by the NGO People for Animals (PFA), five individuals were arrested for smuggling snakes. They disclosed their involvement in providing snakes for Elvish Yadav’s party, leading to the rescue of nine snakes, including five cobras. Additionally, approximately 20 ml of suspected snake venom was recovered from the party venue.Yadav has vehemently denied all accusations.

The Uttar Pradesh police have interrogated the Bigg Boss winner twice to ascertain his role in the snake venom trade based on statements from Rahul Yadav, a supplier arrested in connection to the sting operation .The arrested individuals claimed they supplied snake venom to rave parties organized by Elvish Yadav.

Consequently, Elvish Yadav was booked at Noida Sector 49 police station, and samples from the party were sent for forensic analysis to Jaipur FSL.Yadav has dismissed the charges as “baseless” and “fake” while asserting full cooperation with the police investigation. As no other illicit substances were discovered at the rave party, the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1985 has not been invoked.
